Earlier this summer, France became our first fully localized market outside of English. We said it was just the beginning – and we meant it.

Over the past two months, we’ve continued our European expansion, launching fully localised versions of Zigzag in Italian, German, Spanish and Polish.

At the time of writing, Zigzag is the #1 downloaded dog training app in the app stores across France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Poland.

It’s a milestone we’re particularly proud of given that these localized experiences have only launched over the past few months.

What does localization mean for Zigzag?

Zigzag is available globally in English. Our European rollout means dog owners in France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Poland can now use a Zigzag experience created for their local language.

And localization means more to us than translating the English app word-for-word.

As we did with our first French launch, we’ve worked to make Zigzag feel natural and relevant in each market, considering local language and terminology and how people actually talk about dog training.

The goal is simple: whether someone is opening Zigzag in Milan, Munich, Madrid, Warsaw or Paris, the experience should feel like it was built for them.

Because when you’re trying to work out why your puppy has suddenly forgotten everything they’ve ever learnt, a language barrier is probably the last thing you need.

Why is Zigzag expanding across Europe?

Our mission at Zigzag is to help create a world free from the unnecessary abandonment or euthanasia of dogs due to behavioural issues.

Can I change the language of the Zigzag app?

Not yet. You can’t currently manually switch Zigzag between all of its available languages.
Our localized versions are currently available through their respective markets. For example, Italian is available on the Italian version of the app, while users accessing Zigzag through the UK market will continue to see the app in English.
The same applies to our French, German, Spanish and Polish versions.

Is Zigzag free?

Yes. Zigzag offers both Free and Premium plans. The free version provides access to daily training lessons and limited support from Ziggy, our AI puppy training assistant.
Zigzag Premium provides unlimited access to training content and 24/7 access to expert dog trainers for personalised support.
